Beginning with its inception, Joy Industries Limited has developed a long -standing reputation of offering the best line up of herbal alcoholic beverages and pharmaceutical products in Ghana. Since its founding in Ghana in 2001, Joy industries Limited, has become one of the leading manufacturers of herbal alcoholic beverages and pharmaceutical products in Africa.
Joy Industries Limited is a Ghanaian based multinational company that deals with the manufacturing, distribution and marketing of herbal consumer products and other beverages. The company's flagship product is Joy Dadi Bitters, but it offers over 4 brands in Ghana and West Africa in general. The company is located in Akwadum in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The history of the “three brothers” namely Dr. Manfred Takyi, Dr. Harrison Tetteh and Dr. Enock Sorgin together with few other family members such as Dr. Takyi Nutifafa, is celebrated as an important part in the history of the company as it was through their productiveness that saw the establishment of Joy Industries limited. Manfred Takyi began the company as Joy Herbal Centre, a health facility in 2001, which later revolutionized into Joy Industries limited, a multiple award winning alcoholic herbal beverage company in Ghana. Joy Industries Limited then, Joy Herbal Centre produced and marketed the first product Joy Ointment. The product gained grounds in some few years of its introduction into the market because of its quality and efficacy.
From the skin care product, Joy Industries Limited advanced into the manufacturing and distribution of high quality medicinal herbal alcoholic beverages that aid in boosting the overall health of consumers. As our slogan goes, “One’s good health always brings joy”, the health and safety of our consumers always remain our priority. The prime alcoholic beverage produced by the company was Joy Dadi Bitters. At present, Joy industries Limited have produced two (2) additional alcoholic beverages on the market; Joy Tw3de3 Ginger and Joy Lime.
The products have gained strong grounds in the Ghanaian market and in other African countries despite several challenges. The company gradually engraved itself into the African beverage market by employing competitive technologies and strategies coupled with quality monitoring and supervision in all our operations. This we did through the use of fit for purpose efficient equipment, processes, technologies and competent human resource. Currently, the company has expanded its customer market base into West African countries such as Nigeria, Cote d’ Ivoire, Benin and Togo.
The various products of the company have been approved and certified by the Food and Drugs Authority, Ghana Standards Authority and Centre for Scientific Research into Plant Medicine in Ghana. The company has also secured product and marketing certificate in Nigeria, Cote d’ Ivoire, Benin and Togo. Joy Industries limited is also a member of GAFTRAM, an association which oversees the activities of herbal practitioners in Ghana, AGI (Association of Ghana Industries), and GSA (Ghana Shippers Association).
Joy Industries limited is one of the biggest herbal alcoholic companies in Africa, selling some of the most famous brands. It projects an image of itself as a clean, environmental and socially friendly and ethically-oriented company.
